Due to differing opinions among scholars, there are several prominent methodologies, including those of the hadith scholars, Hanafi scholars, and the majority of scholars. The study first presents the arguments of these methodologies and then offers a comparative analysis. The methodologies for resolving apparent conflicts and discrepancies in hadith can be categorized into two main approaches: the methodology of the hadith scholars and that of the jurists of opinion. For the hadith scholars, the approach involves finding a way to act upon both conflicting hadiths, as adhering to both is preferable to dismissing one. This is known as reconciliation or application. If reconciliation is not possible, the earlier hadith may be considered abrogated in favor of the later one. If this approach is also not feasible, reasons for preference are sought to determine which hadith should be followed. If none of these methods work, suspension is practiced. In the Hanafi methodology, if both hadiths are of equal rank, one is considered earlier and the other later, and the method of abrogation is applied. If the historical context is unknown, reasons for preference are sought to determine which hadith is preferable. If neither historical context nor reasons for preference are available, reconciliation is pursued. If none of these methods are possible, the weaker evidence is abandoned in favor of a lesser degree of evidence.
Zafarullah Aziz, Dr Hafiz Hassam Madani Copyright (c) 2025 Nuqtah Journal of Theological Studies https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 http://nuqtahjts.com/index.php/njts/article/view/170 Sun, 15 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 اسلامی اور مسیحی تعلیمات میں تصورِ حجاب :ایک تجزیاتی مطالعہ http://nuqtahjts.com/index.php/njts/article/view/180
This research paper offers a comprehensive comparative analysis of the concept of hijab in Islamic and Christian teachings, emphasizing that hijab, in Islamic context, is more than just clothing—it represents a broader religious, moral, and social system connected to personal purity, social balance, and spiritual development. In early Christianity, veil symbolized female chastity, humility, and religious commitment, with women advised to cover their hair, neck, and face and wear modest clothing. This practice reflected spiritual purity and detachment from worldly desires, especially among nuns for whom the veil was a sign of religious devotion. However, as Christianity gained political power, the strictness of veiling declined, and scriptural changes led to ambiguous teachings regarding veil.

In contrast, Islam presents hijab as a divine command and Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, symbolizing chastity, moral dignity, and social protection. Islamic teachings emphasize modesty for both men and women, with clear injunctions for women to cover their adornments and wear modest outer garments. Historical evidence from the Prophet’s time, including narrations from Hazrat Aishaؓ, shows that hijab was actively practiced and regulated. Different cultural forms like the burqa, chador, dupatta, and abaya represent regional interpretations of Islamic principles aimed at promoting spiritual and social purity.

Today, hijab serves not only as a religious duty but also as a symbol of resistance, identity, and Islamic pride. While both Christianity and Islam historically acknowledged veiling, Islam has preserved it as a coherent, divine system integral to female identity, dignity, and wellbeing.
Mehnaz Shahzadi , Dr Abdul Aleem , Hafiz Muhammad Sana Ullah Tounsovi Copyright (c) 2025 Nuqtah Journal of Theological Studies https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 http://nuqtahjts.com/index.php/njts/article/view/180 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 میٹاورس ٹیکنالوجی کے انسانی معاشرت پر اثرات: فکر اسلامی کے تناظر میں تجزیاتی مطالعہ http://nuqtahjts.com/index.php/njts/article/view/169
Metaverse technology is a revolutionary development of the recent decade that is reshaping human social, psychological, economic, and religious life. It creates a virtual world where individuals perform their identities, interactions, and activities outside the boundaries of the physical world. This virtual realm, though separate from the material world, provides experiences that closely resemble reality. The convergence of real and virtual dimensions significantly influences human psychology, society, economy, and many behavioral trends. Prominent challenges posed to human values in the metaverse include virtual identity, time wastage, isolation, escapism, and privacy concerns. Moreover, it has the potential to transform human life into an entirely new form in the future.

The objective of this study is to analyze the social impacts of the metaverse through the lens of Islamic thought. Islam advocates a balanced social system that places great emphasis on relationships, boundaries, and moral values. This research also explores whether the metaverse can be harmonized with Islamic teachings. The study employs an analytical methodology grounded in Islamic Shariah, Islamic social principles, and contemporary sociological sciences to investigate the possible impacts of the metaverse on human society and to propose suitable solutions.
Muhammad Farooq Haider Yasin, Dr. Altaf Hussain Langrial Copyright (c) 2025 Nuqtah Journal of Theological Studies https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 http://nuqtahjts.com/index.php/njts/article/view/169 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 A Research Analysis of the Methodologies of Selected Exegeses regarding Mushkilat ul Quran in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa http://nuqtahjts.com/index.php/njts/article/view/168
The study investigates the essential concept of Mushkilat al-Quran in Quranic exegesis since it interprets complex and ambiguous Quranic verses. As the final divine revelation the Quran contains numerous difficult linguistic and historical and rhetorical elements which require scholarly analysis to understand properly. The investigation studies Mushkilat al-Quran as it operates within Tafsir to deliver proper interpretation while countering misconstrued theological interpretations. The authors examine classical Islamic scholarship through the methods of Imam al-Sarakhsī and Sayyid Sharif al-Jurjani alongside Allama Alusi as they interpret Quranic ambiguity using language studies and historical context evaluation and rhetorical precision analysis. An adequate interpretation of complex Quranic verses requires complete understanding of both unfamiliar Quranic vocabulary and syntactical formations. The research examines unique Quranic word usage through Ghara'ib al-Quran (peculiarities of the Quran) while showing the need for specialists in classical Arabic language and detailed textual evaluation for interpretation. Analyzing major scholars in the field leads this research to demonstrate the vital need for academic precision during Quranic interpretation of difficult passages. The research demonstrates the present-day necessity of Mushkilat al-Quran for maintaining Quranic authenticity through the generations because scholars need to exercise caution when interpreting challenging verses. This research serves to advance the comprehension of Mushkilat al-Quran as a fundamental Islamic scholarly field it demonstrates the importance of exact interpretation methods for sacred text understanding.
Irfanullah, Abzahir Khan, Dr. Faisal Mehmood Copyright (c) 2025 Nuqtah Journal of Theological Studies https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 http://nuqtahjts.com/index.php/njts/article/view/168 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000
