Abstract

This study delves into the multifaceted concept of tourism by examining its profound significance and inherent advantages through the prism of the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah. In an era characterized by globalization and increased connectivity, tourism has emerged as a pivotal aspect of modern life. The research seeks to shed light on the Islamic perspective regarding travel, hospitality, and the exploration of diverse cultures, as highlighted in the foundational sources of Islam. The exploration begins by delving into the Qur’anic verses that emphasize the significance of travel as a means of witnessing the signs of Allah's creation and fostering knowledge and reflection. The study further delves into the Sunnah, drawing from the practices and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that underscore the importance of benevolence towards travelers and guests. The advantages of tourism are examined through an Islamic lens, considering how it promotes mutual understanding, cultural exchange, and the enhancement of one's perspective. By studying various hadiths that endorse travel for knowledge acquisition and worldly experience, the research underscores the compatibility between the principles of tourism and Islamic teachings.
